Speical moment

When a Ural owl closes its thick lower eyelids it means that it is having a time out. Usually on a calm moment the Ural owl will close its upper, much thinner eyelids, but when everything is completely safe, then it trusts to close the lower eyelids and take a break from the world a lot like we do, when we sleep. For a photographer it is especially nice when that special little moment happens on an old lichen covered spruce branch with a dark forest background.
