Record early

Our nearly absent winter and very warm early spring have spurred the Ural owls to commit to their yearly duties. The female started hatching eggs on the 15th of March (so far my earliest nesting observation was back in 2007 on 30th of March) and the male started acting as the familys sole provider. The lit up feather on the nest belongs to the female and the male is arriving with the first food of the day.
